Published Regulation on Materials and Articles in Contact with Food
In 2026, a Regulation was adopted on materials and articles in contact with food, based on Article 55, paragraph 2 of the Food Safety Law. The Regulation was published in the 'Official Gazette of Montenegro', number 91/2026, on the 29th. It prescribes requirements for materials and articles in contact with food, their labeling, conditions for placing them on the market, and requirements regarding good manufacturing practices. The provisions of Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food, along with all relevant amendments and supplements, have been incorporated into the national legislation through this regulation.
