Officials of the Budva Security Department today, upon citizens' call, took into custody a foreign national at a hospitality establishment in Budva, suspected of intending to commit a serious criminal offense. The individual was previously subdued and detained by citizens at the scene, who are suspected to have been targeted in an attack, after which the police were notified. Police officers found a firearm—a pistol—on this person, who was then brought to police premises. The investigation is ongoing, including gathering information and taking other measures to establish all circumstances of the event in coordination with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor. The police administration has identified this individual as a foreign national, and further activities are underway, with the public being informed of the outcome in a timely manner.
