Police officers conducted 12 searches in six cities in the north: 11 pieces of weapons seized – seven rifles and four pistols, 430 pieces of ammunition, and a Porsche Macan vehicle; one person detained

Officers of the Regional Security Center "North" carried out a total of 12 apartment and other premises searches in six cities, targeting illegal possession of firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other items related to criminal activities, during intensified planned activities. During these searches, 37 rounds of 7.62 mm pistol ammunition, 2 rounds of unknown caliber pistol ammunition, and an unknown automatic rifle with a magazine containing 30 rounds of 7.62 mm rifle ammunition were found. In the case of M.A., owner of the "K" hotel, a search of his apartment and other premises revealed and confiscated two legal firearms, 85 rounds of rifle ammunition, 145 rounds of pistol ammunition, and 17 rounds of pistol ammunition not matching his legal firearms. Additionally, a gas pistol "Blow F06" for which no registration was provided, a signal pistol, two signal pistol cartridges, an electroshock device, two rubber police batons, 10 tablets of "Diazepam" without medical documentation, and a total of 33,100 euros in cash were found. In Bijelo Polje, 5 rounds of 6.35 mm ammunition, belonging to an inherited but unregistered pistol, were seized, and a fine was issued to the individual according to the Law on Weapons. Police officers across Montenegro will continue preventive and repressive activities aimed at reducing the availability of illegal weapons and possession of other prohibited items, to decrease crime and create a safer environment for citizens.
