Budva: Turkish and Canadian Citizens Arrested for Drug Abuse
Officials from the Budva Department of Security took measures to prevent drug abuse and street drug sales. They, upon the order of the State Prosecutor's Office in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, detained a Turkish citizen suspected of street sale of MDMA. Police officers at Mogren Fortress, during a music event, conducted targeted control of several individuals and found 27 tablets of MDMA with A.S. (24), a Turkish citizen residing in Budva. After conducting criminal investigations and gathering necessary information, the State Prosecutor in Podgorica was informed. Based on their instructions, A.S. was charged with violating the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse, and a misdemeanor report was submitted to the competent Misdemeanor Court. Additionally, 190 euros believed to be proceeds from drug sales were confiscated.
