Strong Growth of Budget Revenues Continues to Surpass Plan and Last Year

Such results confirm positive trends in the real economy, growth of the tax base, strong economic activity, and favorable movements in the labor market. A particularly strong result was achieved in personal income tax, where 68.9 million euros were collected, 12.4 million euros or 22% more than the previous year, and 8.8 million euros above the plan. The dynamic collection is further confirmed by the fact that during July, VAT refunds amounting to 16.9 million euros were made, indicating high gross revenue collection. Revenue from excises reached 223 million euros, an increase of 8.7 million euros or 4.1% compared to the previous year. Notably, excise collection on tobacco and tobacco products increased by 14 million euros. Contributions amounted to 250.5 million euros, representing an increase of 31.4 million euros or 14.4% compared to the same period last year. At the same time, contributions exceeded the plan by 8.9 million euros, further confirming strong trends in the labor market. Positive trends were especially confirmed in July, when 279.5 million euros of budget revenues were collected, 22.7 million euros or 8.8% more than in July 2025. At the same time, July collections exceeded the plan by 1.7 million euros. Along with strong revenue growth, the government accelerated the implementation of capital projects in the first seven months. Particularly strong realization of the capital budget was achieved in July. Of the total capital expenditures, 103.41 million euros were allocated to the Capital Budget, confirming the strong focus of public finances on investments and infrastructure development. At the same time, strong support for citizens and the economy continued.
