Budva: Criminal Complaint Against Person for False Reporting of Payment Card Abuse

Officials of the Budva Department of Security, upon the order of the State Prosecutor in the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Kotor, filed a criminal complaint against B.T. (51) suspected of committing the criminal offense of false reporting. The offense was committed by falsely reporting to police officers in the Budva Department of Security that a criminal act of falsification and abuse of credit and cashless payment cards had been committed against him, knowing that the act had not been committed. He reported to police that his cashless payment card had been misused and that he was damaged by unauthorized transactions totaling 3,000 euros, even though the card was in his possession at the time. Following the report, police officers of the Budva Department of Security took operational-tactical measures and actions, during which they discovered that B.T. used his card for payments via POS terminal, entering the PIN code himself and approving transactions.
