Campaign 'Live, Don't Rush' – Schedule of Enhanced Traffic Controls for July 20 and 21, 2026
In the Podgorica area, intensified traffic controls will be focused on the routes Podgorica–Danilovgrad and Podgorica–Bar, where police officers will conduct increased checks for speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol and psychoactive substances, seat belt usage, illegal overtaking, and other serious traffic violations. Officers will be deployed in Sutorina, Igalu, Meljinama, Dubravi, Baošićima, Kumboru, Bijeloj, Zelenici, and Kamenarima, performing radar checks, regulating traffic due to increased congestion, and monitoring drivers under the influence of alcohol and psychoactive substances during evening and night hours. In Kotor, intensified controls will be carried out on the Lipci–Kotor highway and the Budva–Tivat route, with patrols present in Škaljari, Trojica, Dobrota, the City Riva, Ljuta, Dražin Vrt, Perast, Radanovići, and near Boka Mall, with particular emphasis on speed control, illegal overtaking, and motorcycle safety. In Pljevlja, controls will target the main roads Pljevlja–Ranče and Pljevlja–Đurđevića Tara, with increased police presence at Trlica, Košudo, Mijakovići, Odžak, Radosavac, and Put solidarnosti, as well as on city streets during evening hours. (Bijelo Polje, Berane, Kolašin, Mojkovac, Rožaje, Plav, Gusinje, Andrijevica, and Petnjica) In Bijelo Polje, controls will be organized on the routes Bijelo Polje–Berane and Ribarevina–Barski Most, with increased police presence in Ribarevina, Zaton, Bioča, Sutivan, Unevina, Barski Most, and on the bypass. All these locations are part of the planned operational areas, while police officers will, during the campaign, based on operational assessments, traffic volume, and on-the-ground situation, move between multiple control points to maximize preventive and repressive effects.
