MoF: The Euro Model was also discussed with the IMF as preparation for the single European market
The meetings focused on current economic trends, reform priorities, improving cooperation with the IMF, and opportunities to create new and better-quality jobs. The announced Euro Model program, presented by the prime minister, attracted particular interest from the participants. They were informed that the Government of Montenegro had adopted draft laws for this model and that the Ministry of Finance was conducting impact analyses to assess various aspects of its implementation, while simultaneously preparing the draft budget for 2027. Minister Vuković emphasized that the Euro Model represents an important step in preparing the country for EU membership and equal participation in the single European market, alongside the institutions’ commitment to such processes in which the country has a solution. As Vuković stated, European integration must not be reduced solely to aligning regulations and institutions with European standards.
