AKSK conducts the National Simulation Exercise for Cyber Crisis Management

AKSK conducted the National Simulation Exercise for Cyber Crisis Management - The National Authority for Cybersecurity (AKSK) organized the National Simulation Exercise for Cyber Crisis Management, with participation from government institutions and representatives of critical and important information infrastructure operators in the country. The exercise was carried out as part of the implementation of the National Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan on a Large Scale and for Cyber Crisis. Using a simulated scenario, national crisis management procedures, inter-institutional coordination, information sharing, decision-making, and incident response with broad impact were tested. In his speech, AKSK Director General and National Cybersecurity Coordinator Bledar Kazia emphasized that the exercise aims to assess the readiness of institutions to coordinate and respond effectively, ensuring the continuity of vital services for citizens. He highlighted that, following the cyberattacks of 2022, Albania has strengthened its national cybersecurity architecture through new legislation, institutional coordination mechanisms, and the establishment of the National CERT. AKSK expressed gratitude to DCAF – Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance, UK International Development, and the German Federal Foreign Office for their support in developing this exercise.
