Report: Special Monitoring of Candidatus Phytoplasma vitis (Flavescence dorée) and Vector Scaphoideus titanus - Reduced Vector Population Detected

In the year: special monitoring of Candidatus Phytoplasma vitis (Flavescence dorée) and Scaphoideus titanus vector, from 20th of the year, inspections and replacement of yellow sticky traps were carried out at sites monitoring the presence and dynamics of the grapevine leafhopper Scaphoideus titanus population. The sites where inspections/replacement of yellow sticky traps were performed are presented in Table 1. Examination of the yellow sticky traps in the entomological laboratory at the Faculty of Biotechnology confirmed a decrease in population numbers compared to the previous inspection (25–29 July 2026) and the presence of imagos at sites including Godinje, Šušunja, Lješkopolje, and Nudo. In some vineyards where monitoring is ongoing, grape harvest is in progress, while in others, it has already been harvested due to high temperatures and drought.
