Gjeka: Montenegro continues to strongly support Ukraine

Montenegro will continue to provide strong support to Ukraine, its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the protection of fundamental human rights, emphasized Minister Fatmir Gjeka, reaffirming commitment to the values of peace, solidarity, and human rights. Since 2022, Montenegro has been continuously contributing within its capabilities to Ukraine in its fight for justice and peace, said the minister. Oleg Herasymenko, with whom he discussed successful cooperation between the two countries, with particular focus on humanitarian activities and support for Ukraine and its citizens. Ambassador Herasymenko presented Minister Gjeko with an invitation from the President's office to participate in the traditional Prayer Breakfast, on the occasion of Ukraine's National Flag Day and the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's independence renewal. He highlighted that the presence of the Minister of Human and Minority Rights at this event sends a strong message of friendship and ongoing support that Montenegro provides to Ukraine. The ambassador also specifically thanked Minister Gjeko for support in implementing the program for the stay and rehabilitation of Ukrainian children in Montenegro, emphasizing that such gestures represent a sincere expression of friendship and solidarity with the Ukrainian people, especially since it involves children.
