Stranger: Border police carried out 1,983 measures and actions in August, 57 persons forcibly removed, 48 deported

Officers of the Border Police Sector, as part of the operational-tactical operation "Stranger," which is continuously implemented, carried out a total of 1,983 measures and actions in August aimed at controlling the movement, residence, and work of foreign nationals in Montenegro through planned operations, independently and in cooperation with relevant inspection authorities. During these activities, 217 decisions on the return of persons were issued, 48 decisions on the deportation of foreign nationals, and 131 decisions on the termination of residence up to 90 days, while 57 foreign nationals were forcibly removed. Additionally, 91 initiatives were submitted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to terminate the temporary residence of foreign nationals, and at the same time, 1,352 misdemeanor reports were filed, along with issued misdemeanor orders. Three decisions on milder measures were made, 12 foreign nationals were accommodated in the Foreigners Reception Center, and 62 persons were handed over to the competent authorities of neighboring countries in accordance with readmission agreements in a shortened procedure. Furthermore, 10 decisions were made to revoke or cancel Montenegrin D-type visas.
