Borovinić Bojović with representatives of the Pensioners' Association: Pensioners deserve the attention of the state and better systemic solutions

The Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro for the health system and social care, Dr. Jelena Borovinić Bojović, met with representatives of the Montenegro Pensioners' Association, including President Branko Vešović, Secretary Branka Milošević, and Vice President Krsto Radusinović. They discussed the position of pensioners and the challenges faced by this large population. The meeting concluded that pensioners require special attention from the state and institutions, and that issues affecting their quality of life cannot be viewed solely through the responsibilities of one sector. 'Pensioners, through their work, knowledge, and contributions, have built this country and its institutions over decades.' They also highlighted challenges in financing and operating pensioner organizations, the lack of adequate clubs and gathering spaces, and the need for more stable institutional support and better conditions for including pensioners with disabilities. Topics also included resolving housing issues for pensioners and improving access to healthcare. Continuous and systematic work, clear division of responsibilities, and linking all sectors that can contribute to improving the position of pensioners are necessary.
