EDPB Work Program for 2026–2027
The EDPB work program also takes into account commitments made in the Helsinki Declaration on greater clarity, support, and engagement aimed at facilitating GDPR compliance, strengthening coherence, and enhancing cooperation among legal frameworks. It is based on four pillars of the EDPB strategy and focuses on: continuing to provide timely and clear guidance on key issues and concepts of EU data protection laws to facilitate GDPR compliance; developing and supporting tools for a broader audience, such as templates, illustrative examples, checklists, FAQs, and how-to guides; leveraging opportunities from the recently adopted regulation on procedural rules of GDPR; maintaining its role as a forum for regular exchange of information, expertise, and best practices among data protection authorities; actively participating in relevant forums, including the Digital Markets Act high-level group, the European Data Protection Board for Digital Services, and the European Data Innovation Board; and continuing work on transfer mechanisms under GDPR and the Law Enforcement Directive, providing further guidance on their practical implementation.
