Krapović: Freedom of Montenegro rests on unity, responsibility, and preserving peace

Minister of Defense Dragan Krapović spoke at a solemn academy marking 230 years since the Battle of Krusi, organized by the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral and the Cathedral of Christ's Resurrection in Podgorica. Addressing the attendees, including the Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, representatives of the government, members of the Cabinet, clergy, monastic community, and descendants of participants in historical events, the minister stated that 230 years after Martinići and Krusi, the historical legacy should be viewed not only through military victories but also through the responsibility towards future generations. He emphasized that the army exists to preserve peace and that it is the responsibility of today's generations to protect the freedom created and defended by previous generations with wisdom, responsibility, and dignity. The minister reminded that the message from those times was not only about bravery and defending freedom but also about unity, responsible living, and safeguarding what connects us.
