Action Against Illegal Construction: 15 Individuals and Legal Entities Prosecuted, Damage of Almost 388,000 Euros

Officials from the Sector for Combating Crime – Department for Combating Complex Forms of Economic Crime and Conducting Financial Investigations, in coordination with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica and in cooperation with construction inspectors from the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism, and State Property, today, on the 9th, filed 14 criminal charges against 14 individuals and one legal entity for suspicion of committing the criminal offense of building without notification and documentation. It is suspected that the reported individuals and legal entity started constructing buildings without the required notification and documentation during 2025, thus committing the aforementioned criminal offense. Activities undertaken revealed that in this manner, based on unpaid fees for municipal equipment of construction land, the budgets of the municipalities of Podgorica and Tuz were caused material damage amounting to approximately 387,650 euros.
