Krapović: The Army of Montenegro Further Strengthened Forces Engaged in Firefighting

Members of the Army of Montenegro have been exerting maximum efforts for days in fighting fires across the country, supporting relevant institutions and citizens under the most difficult conditions. While members of the Air Force of the Army of Montenegro continuously operate at fire sites throughout Montenegro, sailors have been engaged for days in the Ulcinj area, making significant contributions to protecting residents, property, and infrastructure. I especially want to highlight their actions on Briska Gora, where they successfully defended the road communication and prevented the fire from spreading across, as well as protecting estates, houses, and the Monastery of Saint Vasilije Ostroški, where nuns reside. To further strengthen our forces on the ground, colleagues from the 1st Navy arrived to assist the sailors today. I want to assure citizens that all members of the Army of Montenegro involved in this area are well, and despite extremely difficult conditions, they continue to perform their tasks without issues. The Army of Montenegro will continue to, within its capacities, provide maximum support to relevant institutions in fighting fires, with the primary goal of protecting lives and property of citizens, infrastructure, and our natural resources.
