In Budapest, a reception organized on the occasion of Independence Day and Statehood Day of Montenegro

An exceptionally successful turnout of high officials confirmed Montenegro's growing international reputation - the reception was attended by senior officials from the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including State Secretary Klara Breuer, Deputy State Secretary for Europe and Turkey Dr. Čaba Radu, and Director of the Western Balkans Sector Gábor Palinkás. Among the guests were top diplomatic representatives of the European Union, NATO, the USA, and Canada, partner countries such as Japan, the United Arab Emirates, and South Korea, as well as countries that non-residently cover Montenegro, including Thailand and Colombia. Representatives of prominent Hungarian companies and financial institutions with which Montenegro has intensive cooperation based on intergovernmental agreements - 4iG, Wizz Air, and OTP Bank - also attended the reception, further confirming the strong development of economic and investment relations between the two countries. Ambassador Čedomir Fuštić, during his speech, pointed to progress in the European integration process and excellent bilateral relations between Montenegro and Hungary, characterized by continuous political dialogue, confirmed by a meeting of the two prime ministers on the margins of the NATO summit. It was emphasized that EU enlargement is a strategic investment in peace, stability, and security in Europe, and that Montenegro, through its reforms, determination, and results, confirms that its place is in the European family of nations. State Secretary Breuer, speaking about Montenegro as a proud NATO member and candidate for EU membership, said that our country is an example of multi-ethnic and multi-religious harmony.
