Results of the International Competition for the Concept Design of the Zabjelo Neighborhood Center in Podgorica

The goal of the competition was to ensure, through an open and expert process, a quality basis for the formation of a modern neighborhood center in one of the fastest-growing urban areas, which would integrate health, administrative, cultural, educational, social, and supporting facilities. After reviewing and evaluating the submitted works, and during an extended competition phase with six selected entries, the jury made the final decision on awarding prizes, purchases, and special mentions. The second prize of €20,000 was awarded to the work under the code SHARED GROUND, created by Alejandro Cuadro from Uruguay, with collaborators Rominа Castro, Pedro Calzavara, Lucia Ferrari, Eloisa Estavillo, and Rominа Mangini. Equal purchases of €3,000 each were awarded to works with codes 08032 — authors: Verica Krstić, Miodrag Grbić, Vera Petronijević, and Stanislav Paunović from Serbia; 31708 — authors: Marija Krsmanović and Milena Kordić, with collaborators Miona Bradić, Nikolina Jovanović, and Siddharth Jhom from Serbia; 45682 — authors: TAKTIKA, Stefan Đorđević, and Dalia Dukanac, with collaborators Anja Marić, Jelena Marić, and Mina Sofronijević from Serbia. The jury also awarded a special mention to the work with code MTAZX by Mikael Tristan Arista from Indonesia, for its exceptional originality in the design approach and response to the assigned theme.
