Statement by Minister Krapović Regarding the Criminal Complaint He Filed Against Attorney Radulović

As I publicly promised, I am continuing to expose what I consider to be the ongoing and politically motivated campaign by DPS attorney and former suspended police officer Veselin Radulović, directed against me personally and against the Ministry of Defence, but not coincidentally also targeting the patrol boat procurement project. Today, I filed a criminal complaint with the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica against DPS attorney and former suspended police officer Veselin Radulović, based on reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offence of false reporting under Article 388, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro. The complaint concerns his criminal report filed in June this year, through which he attempted to call into question the legality of procuring two patrol boats for the needs of the Armed Forces of Montenegro—one of the largest and most significant projects in the history of our military. The criminal complaint I filed today sets out in detail the facts and legal arguments which, in my view, confirm the legality of the Ministry of Defence’s actions and the unfounded nature of the allegations made by DPS attorney and former suspended police officer Radulović. From the adoption of decisions and signing of agreements, through the keel-laying ceremony, to the ceremonial launch of the first patrol boat, “Petar I Njegoš,” I personally attended the key events and communicated openly with the public about each of them. Therefore, I want to be completely clear: I do not consider myself obliged to engage in endless public disputes with him, but I have always been, and remain, available to Montenegro’s institutions—24 hours a day, seven days a week.
