Identified and Arrested Another Suspect for Setting Fire to a Family Member of a Police Officer

The officers of the Podgorica Security Department, conducting intensive activities to fully clarify the arson of a vehicle belonging to a family member of a police officer M.B., identified and, upon the order of the public prosecutor at the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, detained V.J. (41) from Podgorica on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of destruction and damage to another's property, committed jointly. Police officers previously detained another person using appropriate means who caused a fire in a passenger motor vehicle of the brand "Peugeot 3008," after which, together with S.K., they will be further processed within the legally prescribed period. The Police Directorate, in coordination with the competent public prosecutor's office, continues intensive investigations, operational, and criminal activities to fully clarify all incidents involving arson that damaged police and citizen property, and to identify and prosecute all perpetrators, instigators, and accomplices. At the same time, extensive measures and actions are being taken to locate and arrest three more individuals suspected of involvement in arson against police vehicles and their family members.
