Open vacancy for researcher in trustworthy AI

The JRC's unit on algorithmic transparency is looking for an AI researcher to join the team’s science for policy activities on human behaviour and machine intelligence, with a focus on recent developments in AI and recommender systems and addressing minor protection and other societal impacts.

Applicants should be interested in supporting EU AI policies, with a focus on system-centric and user-centric AI auditing and evaluation (e.g., benchmarking, red-teaming, user studies) and trustworthy AI (fairness, transparency, human oversight and social and environmental impact).

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of modern AI systems and models, including AI systems for content recommendation and information retrieval, as well as general-purpose AI models, generative AI and large language models.
