Minister Azemović in Brussels: Support for the Diaspora and New Steps Towards Strengthening Cooperation
The Minister of Diaspora, Mirsad Azemović, attended a ceremonial reception in Brussels organized by the Embassy of Montenegro in the Kingdom of Belgium on the occasion of the anniversary – 20 years since Montenegro's independence renewal and ahead of Statehood Day. The event gathered representatives of European institutions, the diplomatic corps, and numerous diaspora members in Belgium, reaffirming Montenegro's strong ties with its expatriates and international partners. After the reception, Minister Azemović visited the Belgian-Montenegrin Friendship Association, where he met with the president, Goran Vratnica. They discussed opportunities to enhance future cooperation, with a special focus on implementing joint cultural and educational projects that contribute to strengthening the bonds between the Montenegrin diaspora and the homeland. The visit to Brussels once again confirmed the Ministry of Diaspora's commitment to continuously support our expatriates, promote their contribution to preserving identity, and encourage initiatives that further solidify the diaspora's connection with Montenegro.
