Helicopter of the Army of Montenegro Assisted in Evacuating People from a Threatened Area near Vojnik

Members of the Army of Montenegro, engaged in firefighting near Viježa below Vojnik, intervened from the air to enable the safe evacuation of Milovan Minić, the manager of the hunting ground of the Hunting Society "Dr Zoran Kesler" from Nikšić, who was in a service vehicle close to the fire zone. The helicopter of the Army of Montenegro operated at the fire site shortly after 1 PM and extinguished the fire on both sides of the local road, creating a safe passage through the threatened area. Following the aerial intervention, Minić successfully left the fire-affected zone in his official vehicle. Minić praised the professionalism, bravery, and dedication of the Army of Montenegro pilots, thanking them for their intervention which allowed his safe evacuation. The Army of Montenegro continues to support relevant services and the local population in fighting fires, especially when the safety of people and property is at risk. The Ministry of Defense thanks the members of the Army of Montenegro involved in firefighting for their professionalism, responsibility, and dedication in performing their tasks.
