Digital Patrol: Bar Traffic Police Recorded and Sanctioned Nine Violations During Yesterday's Enhanced Traffic Control Using Drones

Officials of the Police Department, aiming to improve road safety, continue implementing preventive and repressive activities through increased controls and aerial surveillance using modern technical means, namely drones. Yesterday, the Bar Police Station conducted an intensified traffic control operation from 11:00 to 14:00, during which nine traffic violations were recorded with the use of a drone. The offenders were identified and sanctioned. Of these nine violations, six drivers received tickets—four for improper overtaking, one for improper lane change, and one for not wearing a helmet—while three drivers faced reports for other violations of the Road Traffic Safety Law. The traffic police across Montenegro will continue with intensified traffic monitoring activities, utilizing drones, video surveillance systems, and other modern equipment to more effectively detect and penalize serious traffic violations and improve overall safety. All activities, including the use of drones for recording violations, are primarily aimed at reducing accidents and protecting lives. Drivers are advised to follow traffic regulations and adapt their driving to road conditions for their safety and that of others.
