Bar: Driver Arrested After Fleeing Scene Following Hit-and-Run of Five-Year-Old Child

The duty officer of the Bar Department reported yesterday around 17:00 hours that a pedestrian, a five-year-old child, was hit by a passenger vehicle of the Mercedes brand on a local road in Šušanj, and the driver left the scene in an unknown direction. Immediately after the report, officers of the Bar Department took intensive measures to identify and find the driver who left the scene. Through joint activities of traffic and criminal police officers, the driver was quickly identified and found, and it was established that the suspect is J.P. After collecting information and conducting police-prosecutorial activities, the public prosecutor in the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Bar was informed, who ordered that J.P. be brought before the prosecuting authority with a criminal complaint for further proceedings.
