Kotor: Criminal Complaint Against Serbian Citizen for Assault on Police Officer and Violence Against Emotional Partner

Officials from the Kotor Department of Security filed a criminal complaint against a citizen of the Republic of Serbia, suspected of committing the criminal offense of assaulting a police officer performing official duties, as well as domestic violence. The on-duty service of the Kotor Department of Security was informed yesterday morning by multiple citizens that a man behaving violently and aggressively was in the Sveti Vrače neighborhood, preventing employees of a local store from approaching the building. The individual, a 22-year-old from Jagodina, Serbia, was acting aggressively, hitting parked vehicles and the concrete ground, causing injuries to himself and material damage to a vehicle. He was transported by emergency medical services for medical treatment and was subsequently held in a closed healthcare facility for further observation. Elements of the criminal offense of assaulting a police officer in the performance of official duties are present, and a criminal complaint has been filed against him. Additionally, he inflicted injuries on his emotional partner, N.P., and the public prosecutor indicated that his actions also constitute elements of the criminal offense of domestic violence, for which a criminal complaint will also be filed.
