Considering the current threat landscape, organizations should prioritize strengthening vulnerability management, continuous cybersecurity monitoring (SOC/EDR/XDR/SIEM), multi-factor authentication, backup management, supply chain security, regular user training, while periodically testing incident response and business continuity plans. During the reporting period, 18 IT system security tests identified 31 vulnerabilities, including critical and high-impact ones, which were addressed before potential exploitation in cyberattacks. Enhancing and developing institutional cooperation and preparedness for large-scale cyber incidents, the 'Cyber Europe' exercises assessed Latvia's transport sector's ability to respond to complex cybersecurity incidents. Participation in the international cyber defense exercise 'Locked Shields 2026' demonstrates the high professional readiness of Latvian cybersecurity specialists and their ability to effectively respond to complex cyber incidents. Simultaneously, organizational visibility at the endpoint level continues to grow, facilitated by CERT.LV SOC, DNS firewalls, and other data-driven cybersecurity services, enabling timely detection, analysis, and mitigation of cyber incidents. Going forward, organizational resilience will increasingly depend on effective cybersecurity risk management, continuous cybersecurity monitoring (SOC/EDR/XDR/SIEM), multi-factor authentication, backup management, supply chain security, and regular user training, along with periodic testing of incident response and business continuity plans.
