Herceg Novi: Detained on suspicion of attempted murder of mother

Officers of the Herceg Novi Security Department, upon order from the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, detained J.V. on suspicion of committing attempted murder against his mother. The criminal act was carried out this morning in the yard of the family house, when he stabbed his mother once with a knife in the neck area. He arrived at the police station around 09:30 a.m. and voluntarily reported himself. The victim was treated and transported to a healthcare facility—hospital, where she was hospitalized. The competent public prosecutor, after reviewing the facts, stated that J.V.'s actions, along with a criminal report, will be presented to the higher prosecutor in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica on suspicion of committing the aforementioned criminal act.
