Training Course for Data Protection Officers

On July 7, 2026, the National Center for Personal Data Protection (CNPDCP) organized a training course for individuals appointed by the operator or authorized person as Data Protection Officers (DPO). Considering the essential role of DPOs within public authorities, institutions, and organizations processing personal data, the training was designed to provide participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical tools necessary for the efficient and independent performance of their specific duties. The program included presentations and discussions on the national legal framework for data protection, fundamental principles of data processing, obligations of operators and authorized persons, as well as the specific responsibilities of DPOs in monitoring compliance with legislation. The skills acquired will help participants identify and prevent risks related to personal data processing, implement effective compliance measures, and promote best practices in data protection within their institutions and organizations. This training is part of the series of activities celebrating the 18th anniversary of the CNPDCP, reflecting the institution's progress in strengthening the national data protection system and fostering a culture of responsibility and compliance among data operators. Through regular professional training programs, CNPDCP reaffirms its commitment to developing the skills of specialists in the field, promoting uniform application of legislation, and strengthening cooperation with operators and authorized persons to ensure a high level of personal data protection in the Republic of Moldova.
