Minister Radunović participated in the High-Level Meeting of the UN General Assembly on the New Urban Agenda

Minister of Spatial Planning, Urbanism, and State Property, Slaven Radunović, participated in the High-Level Meeting of the United Nations General Assembly on the mid-term review of the New Urban Agenda (NUA), held from October 16-17. In his speech, Minister Radunović emphasized that the implementation process of the New Urban Agenda is closely linked to Sustainable Development Goal 11, which aims for safe, healthy, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable cities and human settlements. He recalled that Montenegro, as a country undergoing dynamic urban development, is actively strengthening its policies in the areas of spatial planning, sustainable urban development, and community resilience, aligned with the principles of the New Urban Agenda and Agenda 2030. Minister Radunović specifically highlighted the Velje Brdo project as a response to the growing challenges of housing accessibility and the need to direct urbanization in a planned, inclusive, and sustainable manner. Concluding his address, Minister Radunović stated that Montenegro will continue to strengthen sustainable land management and contribute to creating greener, more inclusive, and resilient communities.
