Statement

Officials from the Budva Department of Security, upon order and in coordination with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor, are taking measures and actions to clarify the incident in which a paraglider with two people fell today in the Brajići area. Authorities were dispatched to the scene, where it was established that the paraglider was operated by a 44-year-old man from Cetinje, accompanied by a 30-year-old Swedish citizen. Both individuals were transported by ambulance to the General Hospital in Cetinje, and after receiving medical assistance, they were transferred to the Clinical Center of Montenegro for further hospitalization. An investigation at the scene in Brajići, on the Budva–Cetinje main road near the Brajići tunnel, was conducted by police officers under the prosecutor's order, with aviation experts present to provide their findings and opinions later. Based on current circumstances, it is suspected that the paraglider's fall was most likely caused by wind conditions, during which the instructor lost control of the paraglider. Police, in cooperation with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor, are undertaking further measures and actions to clarify all circumstances of this event, and the public will be informed in a timely manner.
