Montenegrin institutions successful in new Horizon Europe projects

In the new projects, the University of Montenegro, Donja Gora University, and the Capital City Podgorica participate through projects covering various areas, from connecting science, media, and society, to climate resilience of cities and supporting researcher mobility, to transforming research universities and applying artificial intelligence. The University of Montenegro is involved in two new projects: Digital Bridges: Science, Media, Society, with an EU contribution of 66,580 euros, and FORward-looking EURAXESS SERVICES for Europe - A Modern, Specialised and Coordinated European Talent Support Model, with 13,281 euros of EU support. The Capital City Podgorica participates in the project EUROpean Adaptive, Systemic and Inclusive Solutions for heat resilience, with an EU contribution of 37,470 euros. Donja Gora University participates in the project Transforming Research Universities for Safety and Traceability - Fostering Impact through Modernisation, Partnerships, AI, and Collaborative Transformation, which is the largest individual project on the list, with an EU contribution of 368,550 euros. These results further confirm the importance of Montenegrin institutions' participation in the Horizon Europe program, which provides research organizations, universities, public institutions, and other stakeholders the opportunity to collaborate with European partners, develop new knowledge and solutions, and secure funding for research and innovation activities. Four new projects, three Montenegrin institutions, and nearly half a million euros in new EU support represent an important contribution to further positioning Montenegro in the European Research Area and strengthening international cooperation in science and innovation.
