Public Call for Support for Purchase and Withdrawal of Market Surpluses of Watermelon

In 2023, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management announces a PUBLIC CALL FOR SUPPORT FOR THE PURCHASE AND WITHDRAWAL OF MARKET SURPLUSES OF WATERMELON. Registered economic entities capable of organizing purchase, collection, transportation, temporary storage, and final realization of fresh watermelon surpluses are invited to submit requests for support. Support can be granted for watermelons purchased from farmers registered in the Register of Agricultural Holdings in Montenegro, provided that the goods are properly collected, recorded, and paid to the producer. The application must include an excerpt from the Central Register of Business Entities, proof of available storage, transportation, processing, or other necessary capacities, or an appropriate contract, a statement that supported quantities will not be resold as fresh watermelon on the Montenegrin market, and other documentation specified in the form. Upon approval, the user is obliged to submit invoices or purchase blocks with producer and quantity details, proof of payment to the producer, measurement or collection proof, movement records of the goods, and credible evidence of final realization. If the total acceptable quantities from complete and timely applications exceed 400,000 kilograms, the Ministry will proportionally reduce the approved quantities.
