New Higher Education Institution to Bear the Name of Slavoljub Šćekić
On the 21st anniversary of the murder of police inspector Slavoljub Šćekić, a meeting was organized at the Government of Montenegro with Slavoljub's sister, Mrs. Slavica Šćekić, organized by Aleksa Bečić, Deputy Prime Minister, and Prof. Dr. Anđela Jakšić-Stojanović, Minister of Education, Science, and Innovation. Attending the meeting were also Danilo Šaranović, Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Lazar Šćepanović, Director of the Police Directorate, and Nenad Vojinović, Director of the Police Academy. A higher education institution will be established within the Police Academy in Danilovgrad, bearing the name of Slavoljub Šćekić, the murdered police inspector, as a way for the state to pay tribute and show respect to an uncompromising fighter for justice who was and will be an example for new generations of police officers.
