Krapović in Ankara: Montenegro remains committed to fulfilling its obligations within the NATO alliance

Minister of Defense Dragan Krapović participates in the Montenegro delegation at the NATO Summit, held on the 7th. On the first day of the Summit, a working dinner was organized for NATO defense ministers with defense ministers from partner countries in the Indo-Pacific region—Australia, Japan, New Zealand, and South Korea. The defense minister's meeting was an opportunity to reaffirm the allies' commitment to fulfilling NATO agenda obligations, with a special focus on strengthening defense and increasing defense spending. Additionally, the Ankara meeting was an opportunity for alliance member states' defense ministers to confirm their readiness to continue maintaining partnership relations and strengthening cooperation with Indo-Pacific countries. During the working dinner, Minister Krapović stated that Montenegro unequivocally remains committed to fulfilling its obligations within the NATO alliance to improve the collective defense system. He noted that Montenegro will continue to steadily increase defense expenditures and modernization of national defense capacities in accordance with NATO capability targets.
