Montenegro and Spain Sign Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement: Another Confirmation of European Maturity and Montenegro's Investment Attractiveness

Within the framework of the European Union – Western Balkans Summit, today in Tivat, an agreement was signed between Montenegro and the Kingdom of Spain on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion on income, opening a new chapter of economic cooperation and further strengthening partnership relations. The agreement was signed by Montenegro's Minister of Finance Novica Vuković and the Spanish Ambassador to Montenegro, based in Belgrade, Juan Jose Sans Aparicio, in the presence of Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. Signing this agreement sends a strong signal to the international business community that Montenegro continues to build a stable, predictable, and competitive economic environment based on the principles of legal security, tax transparency, and best international practices.
