During the weekend, 1,556 drivers were sanctioned, 56 were deprived of liberty

In 2023, on Montenegrin roads, 47 traffic accidents were recorded, with no fatalities. In these accidents, seven people sustained serious injuries, while 18 people sustained minor injuries. Traffic police officers sanctioned 1,556 drivers for violations of the Road Traffic Safety Law. They filed 174 misdemeanor reports, issued 1,382 misdemeanor orders, and temporarily confiscated 14 pairs of license plates. Of the total number of drivers deprived of liberty, 27 were detained in Podgorica, seven in Nikšić, and four in Pljevlja.
