The on-duty service of the Berane Security Department was informed yesterday around 4:00 PM by medical staff at the Emergency Center of the Clinical-Biochemical Center Berane that a child who, according to available information at the time, died from injuries sustained in a fall from a building, had been brought to the health facility. Police officers from the Berane Security Department immediately responded, identified the child as a one-year-old from Berane, and informed his father, A.I. The incident was reported to prosecutors from the Higher and Basic Public Prosecutor's Offices in Bijelo Polje and Berane, respectively, who ordered further measures. Police officers conducted an investigation at the scene, during which they suspected the accuracy of the father's account of the cause of the child's injuries. The investigation revealed that the father, A.I., while reversing a passenger vehicle out of a garage, came into contact with the child, resulting in the child's death.
