Call for Nominations for UNESCO Al Fozan Award for Promoting Young Scientists in STEM
The call for nominations for the UNESCO Al Fozan International Award for the Promotion of Young Scientists in STEM fields is now open. The award aims to recognize and support outstanding achievements of young scientists whose research, innovations, and engagement contribute to the development of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, as well as the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Winners will receive a monetary prize of $50,000 to support their development ideas. Applications are submitted via UNESCO's online platform and are valid only with a nomination from an authorized proposer, in English or French. Nominators include UNESCO member state governments in collaboration with national UNESCO commissions, UNESCO chairs, universities, and non-governmental organizations with official partnerships with UNESCO. The Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation encourages interested researchers, higher education institutions, and research organizations to review the call conditions and, in cooperation with authorized proposers, prepare nominations in a timely manner.
