Podgorica: Minor suspected of five serious thefts committed in September

Officers of the Criminal Police Station for Property Crime Suppression of the Department of Security in Podgorica, conducting operational and tactical activities in the field, have solved five serious thefts committed in September against five individuals, identified the perpetrator, and, upon order from the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, detained a seventeen-year-old minor. He is suspected of approaching victims in the Stari aerodrom neighborhood at different locations during September, snatching mobile phones from two persons. It is also suspected that he stole a mobile phone from one victim using their distraction, and from another victim, a wallet containing 400 euros and personal documents. Additionally, he is suspected of snatching a bag with a wallet containing 100 euros, personal documents, and a mobile phone from another victim. In this manner, the minor is believed to have stolen four mobile phones, money, bags, wallets, and personal documents, and then sold the stolen phones to others. Police officers recovered some of the stolen items and returned them to the owners, while further activities are underway to locate the remaining stolen items.
