WhatsApp accounts targeted, AKSK urges citizens to exercise increased caution - The National Authority for Cybersecurity (AKSK) calls on citizens to be more vigilant following recent reports in the region of compromised WhatsApp accounts. In some reported cases, users have lost access to their accounts, while relevant authorities are analyzing the methods of compromise. To protect your account: Enable two-step verification in Settings → Account. Do not click on suspicious links sent via SMS, WhatsApp, or email, especially when asked to verify your account. If you receive a code or notification for WhatsApp registration on another device without your initiation, do not share the code or authorize the request. If you lose access to your account, use only official WhatsApp procedures and channels to recover it.
