Vice President Bečić Congratulates on Municipality Day of Berane

July – On the Municipality Day of Berane, I extend my warmest congratulations to the Mayor of Berane Đoło Lutovac, the President of the Municipal Assembly Vidi Ivanović, all councilors, and all citizens of Berane. Today is a lasting reminder of the 21 years since Berane was liberated from fascist occupation, confirming that the spirit of freedom has been and remains one of the strongest values on which modern Montenegro is built. Inspired by the magnificent July 13 Uprising, the people of Berane and the entire Vasojevići region have shown that love for freedom is priceless. The city, which has produced notable figures such as Gavo Vuković, the first Montenegrin Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as numerous esteemed scientists, doctors, athletes, artists, and hosts who have spread the name of Berane far beyond Montenegro's borders. Located on the banks of the Lima River, under Jasiovac, between Bjelasica and the Vasojevići plains, Berane is one of the most beautiful northern pearls, with exceptional natural, tourist, and economic potentials. It is particularly encouraging that the development of northern Montenegro is now one of the most important national priorities. Continuing the construction of the highway towards this part of our country will bring better connectivity, new investments, greater opportunities for tourism, agriculture, and entrepreneurship, but above all, new hope that young people will build their future right in Berane. I am confident that, with responsible national and local policies, this region will realize its full developmental potential in the years to come. Convinced that Berane awaits years of progress, new investments, and a better quality of life for all citizens, I once again extend my sincere congratulations on Municipality Day, wishing everyone good health, unity, pride in their city, and a future filled with prosperity.
