Contest for Funding Allocation for the Cultural Heritage Protection and Preservation Program of Montenegro
The Ministry announces a call for applications for funding 54 projects planned within the Cultural Heritage Protection and Preservation Program of Montenegro in 2026. Support will be provided through co-financing and implementation of projects across the entire territory of Montenegro, aimed at improving the condition of all types of cultural heritage, especially those requiring urgent conservation treatment, new research results, and promotion of cultural heritage. Funding totaling €769,000 will be allocated to 54 projects in areas including archaeological and conservation research (15 projects – €227,000), development and implementation of conservation projects (28 projects – €450,000), and popularization and presentation of cultural heritage (11 projects – €92,000). Projects will be evaluated by a commission composed of experts from relevant fields, based on criteria such as completeness, accuracy, feasibility, cost realism, and compliance with standards.
