Đaković: House of Agriculture strengthens support for producers in northern Montenegro

The facility houses the regional office of the Payment Agency, advisory services of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, agricultural inspection, services of the Food Safety, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Affairs Administration, and local agricultural services. The office in Berane and the continuous strengthening of the Administration's administrative capacities, aided generously by the MIDAS project and the World Bank, create conditions for this office to become the regional center of the Administration for the northern region of Montenegro. I wish all future users of the House of Agriculture a successful work," said Vladimir Đaković, Director of the Food Safety, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Affairs Administration, emphasizing the importance of joint service actions and strengthening administrative capacities. On behalf of the World Bank, project manager Teklu Tesfaje stated that the House of Agriculture in Berane is important for agricultural development and for the ongoing progress Montenegro is making on its path to EU accession. The significance of the building was also highlighted by the President of the Berane Municipality, Đole Lutovac, noting that this project is yet another proof that strategic investments and tangible results in various fields can be achieved through the joint efforts of all institutions. With the opening of the House of Agriculture, Berane gains a space that should contribute to more efficient communication between farmers and institutions, easier realization of rights, and higher-quality professional support for producers in northern Montenegro.
