Vice President Bečić Congratulates on the Day of the Municipality of Andrijevica
On July 13th – the Day of the Municipality of Andrijevica, I extend my warmest congratulations to the Mayor Mr. Željko Ćulafić, the President of the Municipal Assembly Mr. Vesko Raketić, councilors, and all citizens of Andrijevica. This holiday is an opportunity to pay special respect to the people of this region, whose history is written with bravery, dignity, and unwavering dedication to freedom. The year 1941 remains a permanent testament to the sacrifice made by the people of Andrijevica in the fight against fascism, leaving an indelible mark on Montenegro's anti-fascist tradition. Andrijevica is a land of rich history, strong identity, and exceptional natural beauty. Situated between the magnificent Komovi, Bjelasica, and Prokletije mountains, on the banks of the Lima River, it possesses potential that far exceeds its geographical boundaries. This region has all the prerequisites to become a strong center for sustainable tourism and agriculture development in northern Montenegro, which the current government actively supports through the continued construction of the highway, making Andrijevica accessible in just about forty minutes from Podgorica. Therefore, the development of northern Montenegro must remain one of the key priorities of the national policy.
