BAR: Criminal complaint due to illegal construction, damage to the Budget of Montenegro around 80,000 euros
Police officers from the Bar Department of Security, the Unit for Combating Economic and Environmental Crime, continued activities aimed at discovering and prosecuting illegal construction. They filed a criminal complaint with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bar against individuals suspected of illegally building structures in this municipality. Specifically, police officers from the Bar Department, in coordination with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bar and under the prosecutor's order, filed a criminal complaint against A.T. from Bijelo Polje, suspected of committing the criminal offense of building without notification and documentation. In 2023, in the Kunje settlement, Bar Municipality, he built two structures with individual areas of 400 m² each, totaling 800 m², without previously obtaining a building permit, contrary to the provisions of the Law on Building Structures. The police administration will continue targeted inspections and activities to detect and prosecute illegal actions in the field of illegal construction, with a special focus on protecting space, the environment, and public interests.
