Training Focus for 2027 within RUHB
By the end of 2028, existing operational rescue personnel should have basic skills for interventions during high alert. The training focus for 2027 covers Urban Search and Rescue (USAR). The training focus for 2027 was decided in May 2026 by the Civil Defense Agency. The Civil Defense Agency replaces participating personnel as follows: Compensation may also be provided for fire brigades, provided these are deemed necessary for municipal capability. The overall goal is that at least 75 percent of rescue personnel will have completed training in respective areas (AMH, USAR, and CBRN) by 2028 to strengthen operational capacity. The 2026 focus was on ammunition and mine handling (AMH), with the forecast indicating that approximately 92 percent of existing rescue personnel will undergo training.
