Roundtable titled "Framework of the National Curriculum of Montenegro" held

After the introductory words, expert presentations by panelists from different perspectives illuminated the processes of educational reform. Maja Kovačević, UNICEF education program coordinator, spoke on the topic "Framework of the National Curriculum and the Education Reform Strategy 2025–2035: the path of reform in the Montenegrin education system." Subsequently, Mr. Dragan Marković, State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, addressed the audience, presenting the structure of the Framework through a lecture on "Structure of the Framework of the National Curriculum: the present and future of education." Methodological aspects and practical application in teaching were analyzed by Prof. Dr. Dijana Vučković from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Montenegro, on the topic "Methodological implications of the Framework of the National Curriculum of Montenegro: from reproductive to creative and research-based teaching and learning." During the constructive discussion, it was emphasized that the new Framework of the National Curriculum must be aligned with contemporary social changes, with a special focus on transitioning from traditional, reproductive learning to active and research-based education. The joint conclusion of the participants was that the success of the reform depends on the synergy of all relevant institutions – from the Academy of Sciences, through the competent ministry and university, to international partners supporting this process.
