Public Consultations Held on Draft Strategy for Cooperation between Public Authorities and Non-Governmental Organizations

Over the past three days, three roundtables were held in Bar, Podgorica, and Bijelo Polje with representatives of non-governmental organizations, as part of the public consultation on the Draft Strategy for Cooperation between Public Authorities and Non-Governmental Organizations for the period 2027–2031. During the discussions, key objectives and the importance of this strategic document were presented, emphasizing the need for further improvement of democratic governance, participatory public policy creation, and development of a stimulating environment for civil society organizations, in accordance with Montenegro's obligations from the EU accession process and principles of good governance. Participants were informed that the new Strategy aligns with the goals of the European Union's Civil Society Strategy and is based on three strategic objectives: The public consultation on the Draft Strategy with an Action Plan lasts until the 26th. We invite all interested parties to participate in the public consultation and submit their comments, proposals, and suggestions within the specified deadline. All received comments will be compiled into a Report on the conducted public consultation, which will be published on the official website of the Ministry.
